Quartz Stone

Forest Stone Quartz provides a rare combination of superior aesthetics, versatility and products endowed with the unsurpassable strength of quartz in which elegance and beauty combine with functionality and durability.

Quartz surfaces are the culmination of over 30 years of R&D. As it is a stone engineering product, quartz surfaces comprise around 93% of natural quartz along with pigments, polyester resins and other adhesives. These materials are subject to a high-tech vibro-compaction under vacuum system. This exclusive process results in a non-porous agglomerated stone which looks like natural stones such as limestone, granite or marble.

It is an industrialised product produced using high technology and endowed with a sophisticated appearance. It has the texture and weight of natural stone but its quality is superior and anti-bacterial.

Quartz is naturally hard and scratch-resistant. Quartz registers 7.0 on Moh's scale of hardness which is used to measure a material's scratch resistance. Only diamonds which are rated 10, topaz and sapphire are harder than quartz.

Quartz is plentifully available on earth and only water is more abundant in its common mineral form on our planet.

Quartz countertops are a worry-free alternative.

  • Care and Maintenance

    Looking after your quartz surface
Forest Stone quartz provides an elegant, sophisticated surface endowed with beauty and resistance which is stable and long-lasting. To maintain this lasting beauty, just clean the kitchen counter in warm water and a soft, non-abrasive cleaning agent and wash with water.

    Maintenance
Forest Stone quartz requires little maintenance. It is solid, non-porous and does not require any sealing to maintain its brightness and luminosity.

    Stains
If there are tricky stains, soak a clean cloth in a non-abrasive cleaning agent and scrub the stain, clean and wipe with a damp cloth to remove any cleaning agent residues.

    Heat tolerance
Forest Stone Quartz is structurally more heat resistant than other surfaces. However, like any other stone surface, excessive heat and thermal shock may cause damage. We recommend the use of a metal or fabric base when placing a hot saucepan or other kitchen utensils on the surface.

    Scratch resistance
Forest Stone Quartz is considerably more rigid than natural stone and is extremely scratch-resistant. However, avoid the use of sharp objects like sharp knives or screwdrivers directly on the surface.

    Cleaning products to be avoided
Cleaning agents containing pine oil. Unless thoroughly washed afterwards, these products may leave pine oil residues. Pine oil captures and retains dirt on the surface and ends up reducing surface cleaning and making it look worse. Extremely aggressive cleaning agents like cleaning agents for stoves and ovens and dishwasher brighteners containing a high alkaline content/pH (pH 8.5 or more). Brillo pads or abrasive cleaning agents containing soft or strong abrasive particles. Abrasives will damage Forest Stone quartz surfaces and if the surface has not been totally washed, a dust residue will remain which will make the surface look worse, particularly dark colours. Cleaning agents containing xylene, toluene, potassium hydroxide or caustic soda. Paint removers, furniture strippers containing trichloroethane or dichloromethane.
